ABOUT THE PARK’S BIODIVERSITY

According to CONABIO’s National Biodiversity Information System, Loreto Bay NP is home to more than 1,300 animal and plant species, 80 of which are under some type of protection category in Mexico’s protected specie list, NOM-059, and 18 are introduced species.

LORETO, SHARED VISION FOR 2050

It was a participatory visioning process to identify the key drivers of change affecting the Loreto region today and to find a shared vision for the next 25 years. The Loreto 2050 will provide a baseline review of key land use/development indicators identified in the 2005 study, with a comparison to the present day.
